I'm stilling working on my piece. I'm currently still working on getting the skin tone just right. I'm exploring with colors and trying to make a variety of colors in my pallet. My theme is still the same, how you can tell when someone an immigrant by the way they look. I'm also currently working on my second piece which is a portrait about my friend Tizzy. Shes a mix of Dominican and Italian. She's perfect for my piece because she doesn't look Latino but she is. That is what I'm currently doing for my series of painting.

I have been working on my self portrait piece for like a week now and so far it’s been going good but I still having troubles with mixing the skin tones. I have been trying different mixes and still haven't found the right mix. I have the shapes of my face down. I’m still sticking to my original theme. I feel very strong about the theme and about how I’m going to show my theme.

RISD TOUR

Before I took the tour I thought that the school was going to be a very strict school and everybody who went there was going to be stuck up. After I took the tour and saw what really goes down at RISD I was very surprise, my whole vision of RISD was changed. RISD is more alike BAA. All of the students there was serious about what they study and at the same time very friendly and fun to hang around. The teacher at RISD was also like BAA teacher, they was so down to earth and really connected to the students. The pro of this school is the environment, I just loved it. Also the students and Teachers were great too. The Cons of this school is that mostly everything is up on a hill. You have to walk up and down hills and stairs to get to class. Also another con is that they don’t focus on what I want. I can see myself going to RISD as an ID major but not as an Architect which is what I want to study. RISD is a great school but maybe not for me...
